WHAT THE EDUCATION COMMITTEE DOES
The Education committee meets early in the new year to begin the process of choosing the students who will receive scholarships. Dana Hills High School and Aliso Niguel High School students are looking for ways to pay for their higher education and the school counselors are ready to recommend those students that meet the criteria we set. Students submit applications and are interviewed by committee members. It is a very enjoyable experience to talk with these students, learning about their needs and their dreams. At the schools' awards events, we personally give the students their scholarships, a rewarding time for everyone. Soon after, the winning students are invited to attend one of our club meetings to thank our members. We also donate funds to our local community college to aid students who are struggling to further their education.
